Sold! Alice Millard House, La Miniatura

It's been a busy month for Wright on the Market. Less than two weeks after we shared the happy news that Wright's Coonley House South Wing had sold in Riverside Illinois, today we learned that the concrete-block Alice Millard House, La Miniatura (1923), in Pasadena, California, has sold near its most recent asking price. Beverly Hills-based real estate broker Crosby Doe informed us of the sale. He also sold the 1923 Storer House in the Hollywood Hills in February, making La Miniatura the second of Wright's iconic Los Angeles-area houses to post a multimillion-dollar sale this year. The new owners, according to Doe, are an architect originally from China and his wife, a structural engineer. They currently live in the Los Angeles area. Congratulations to them for becoming the new stewards of this important and extraordinary Wright house. Other Wright properties spanning from 1893 to 1958 are for sale across the country; head to Wright on the Market to view all current listings.
