Sold! Wright's Storer House in Hollywood Hills

Prominent real estate broker Crosby Doe has informed us that Frank Lloyd Wright's John Storer House (1923) has sold to a preservation-minded buyer for what is expected to be a record price for a Wright house. The textile-block house in the Hollywood Hills was previously featured on the Conservancy's Wright on the Market listings. The deal was closed by Beverly Hills-based Crosby Doe Associates, which also has listed the Alice Millard House, La Miniatura (1923), another of Wright's four textile-block Southern California houses. You can view the La Miniatura listing on Wright on the Market.

If those Southern California price tags are too rich for your blood, there's a great deal to be had on Chicago's North Shore, where the George Madison Millard House (1906) is for sale in Highland Park. The board and batten Prairie-style house is far removed from the experimental concrete house Wright built for the widowed Alice Millard when she moved to California.
